Birthplace of GNM Dentistry – “Occlusion Connection”, an educational center in Las Vegas, Nevada, inspired and established by Dr. Clayton A. Chan. He introduced the term “GNM – Gnatho-neuromuscular” (2008), which has been used since then and which bonds together gnathology (G) and neuromuscular (NM) dentistry.
G + NM = Gnathology + Neuromuscular dentistry (present-day combination of occlusal protocols and techniques based on scientific computed data and connected with gnathological and neuromuscular systems in dentistry, which improves clinical success). The focus of attention is clinical application of neuromuscular occlusal principles and special attention to details.
Gnatho-neuromuscular (GNM) approach means comprehensive clinical solution, which investigates the origin and the source for the symptoms in stomatognathic structure and offers protocols and methods for effective treatment: reconstructive, orthodontic and TMJ. Stability of the masticatory system is provided by an anatomical orthotic for the mandible – key to solve the challenges of occlusion and muscles therapeutically and reversibly.

Nowadays a doctor must be an expert in occlusion in order to have an advantage over other professionals. Every dentist and employee of the clinic must be able to distinguish the signs, symptoms and parameters of healthy occlusion from pathology. Observant and curious specialist will recognize the reason for tooth abrasion and fracture, as well as other factors, which influence the patient’s health. The doctor must acknowledge key principles of occlusion in order to connect esthetic rehabilitation, orthodontic treatment and/or treatment of TMJ disorders/orofacial pain with the proper diagnosis.
The course is presented by Dr. Anton Krivorotov. He completed the full training program at the Dr. Chan’s educational center Occlusion Connection in Las Vegas, USA, and uses the concept in his everyday practice.
Dr. Krivorotov’s practice is focused mainly on the patients, who were treated by quite a number of doctors with no results and who were left with practically no help. More often than not he solves their occlusal problems.
