WHAT IS DIGITAL SMILE DESIGN (DSD)?

The whole DSD Concept is based on analyzing facial and dental proportions of the patient and a series of high quality digital photos as well as video, which show the relationship between teeth, gingiva, lips and smile of the patient at rest and in motion.  

Digital Smile Design (DSD) is a multipurpose conceptual protocol offering a number of significant advantages:

• Diagnostic examination is less extensive due to extra- and intraoral esthetic structural assessment of the clinical case

• Optimized communication between team members improves visual perception, education and motivation of the patient.

• Effectiveness of clinical case presentation to the patient improves and consequently treatment plan acceptance goes up.

• Due to digital technologies clinical effectiveness and predictability grows.


DENSAH TECHNOLOGY

Densah bur technology is based on the newest biomechanical technique of bone preparation called “osteodensification”. Unlike traditional techniques of drilling used in dentistry during “osteodensification” bone tissue is not cut out. Instead, it is simultaneously compressed and autografted in the directions expanding outside from the osteotomy hole.

In the process of high-speed rotation of the Densah bur while cutting in reverse motion and constant external irrigation of the walls and floor of the osteotomy hole solid compact layer of bone tissue is formed.

UNIQUE MACRODESIGN

OF RENOVA® IMPLANT

The unique shape of the implant combines the advantages of implants with parallel walls in the neck area and tapered implants in the apical part. Additional grooves enlarge the surface of adhesion between the implant and surrounding tissues.

The shape of the apical part provides excellent primary stability in the bone and allows to position the implant in variable height positions.

Ideal size of the polished neck – 1 mm – provides maximum support for soft tissues, and reverse cone – platform switch function. 

Additional grooves on the neck of the parallel implant increase bone-to- implant contact.

UNIQUE QUALITIES

Traditional twist drills or parallel grooved drills have 2-4 facets, which help the burs move down the osteotomy hole. Densah burs have 4 facets or more, and it makes the advance through the bone very precise. The more facets, the less vibration.

During osteodensification Densah burs subject the bone to controlled plastic deformation, which allows to create cylindrical osteotomy hole avoiding cutting out bone tissue.

CERVICO GUIDE

This is a reusable autoclavable set for precise and simple determination of the size and shape of the individual healing abutment for every patient. 

The instrument is used to: 

  • Assess the gingival contour in the implant placement area
  • Mark osteotomy hole (prior to preparation)
  • Determine mesio-distal distance and correlation with the platform of the implant
  • Determine interocclusal space

RBM SURFACE

UNIQUE BIOCOMPATIBLE RBM SURFACE

Unique biocompatible surface guarantees maximum security due to absence of acid etching in the manufacturing process. Blasting with ceramic calcium phosphate is much more secure and ecological technology to achieve porosity.

Passivation protocol ASTM F-86 is an international standard, it guarantees removal of the particles from the surface, and elimination of acid from the process does not influence fatigue strength of the titanium.

Increased bone-to-implant contact – the surface is 250 % larger. 

Porous titanium surface – universal clinical application since 1997, implant survival 98 %.

Bone, cells and blood vessels are clearly visible on the bone-to-titanium border. No signs of inflammatory cells or fibrous tissues, bone penetrates every pore of the RBM surface.


APPLICATION: OPTIONS

  • Densah burs are designed for preparation of the osteotomy hole to be followed by dental implant placement in the maxilla or in the mandible.
  • Pilot drill is used to create initial opening in the bone for osteotomy and implant placement and monitoring the depth while drilling.
  • Densah Parallel pin is used as parallel guidance with Densah burs.

It can also be used to duplicate modified healing abutment or temporary prosthesis using impression transfer. The Mold has 17 holes for this purpose.

VPI INSERTS FOR DIFFERENT PROSTHETIC CONNECTIONS

These inserts have innovative design, which makes it possible to duplicate prosthetic connection and implant platform. The innovative external connection design allows to register the inserts in the base of the mold in only one functional position with maximum stability.

The innovative external design also allows to use the inserts functionally when working with multiple platforms of one and the same prosthetic connection. Each insert has a retention screw that reliably fixates it in the mold. The insert has its own identification number and laser-mapped arrow on the external surface.

There is a great number of VPI inserts, which will meet any clinical requirement.

RPM membrane is developed for use as a traditional titanium-reinforced membrane though with additional benefits. It is easy to trim and easy to adapt. The scheme of hole arrangement simplifies membrane removal.

RPM membrane should be used only if primary closure can be achieved and maintained through the healing period.
